With the presence of Congressional leaders and government officials, the artists will highlight the injustices perpetuated by a healthcare system that conceals its prices, hindering competition and avoiding accountability for overcharges and price manipulation. Fat Joe will also take on the role of emcee for the event, while Jelly Roll and Wyclef Jean will provide musical performances.

According to Fat Joe, the current state of the U.S. healthcare system is a dire issue affecting the nation. He stresses that healthcare price transparency is not a matter of partisanship but rather common sense. Advocating for clear pricing, Fat Joe emphasizes that transparency can safeguard patients, families, employers, workers, and the government from healthcare-related overcharging and fraudulent pricing practices. Moreover, it enables consumers to make informed choices about their treatments without the fear of exorbitant costs leading to financial ruin.

Power to the Patients has been instrumental in raising awareness on Capitol Hill regarding the urgent need for comprehensive healthcare price transparency legislation. In previous engagements, Fat Joe has met with Congressional leaders and the White House to urge the enforcement of price transparency rules, which many hospitals currently disregard.

Furthermore, through public service announcements featuring renowned musicians like Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, and French Montana, the organization has called out hospitals and insurance companies for obscuring prices, leading to stifled competition and widespread financial distress.

As a result of these efforts, there has been notable progress in advancing healthcare price transparency legislation in Congress. Fat Joe, along with Power to the Patients and affiliated organizations, will continue to engage with Congressional leaders to advocate for the passage of legislation that promotes honest, affordable, and equitable healthcare nationwide.
