German luxury fashion brand MCM is venturing into the metaverse through a collaboration with Caliverse, the forthcoming metaverse platform slated for launch in the first half of 2024.
During the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show, MCM offered a sneak peek of its upcoming virtual store on Caliverse, emphasizing that it will “dismantle boundaries” and provide users with a seamless encounter with the brand’s spring/summer 2024 collection across various devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, tablets, 3D TVs, and interactive headsets.
By leveraging real-time rendering graphics, 3D live synthesis, and AI technology, MCM aims to introduce a dynamic metaverse experience. This experience will enable consumers to explore, engage, and make purchases within a virtual environment that seamlessly blends physical and digital interactions.
Sabine Brunner, President and Brand and Commercial Officer of MCM, expressed excitement about merging MCM’s iconic designs with Caliverse’s hyper-realistic visualizations. The virtual store, set to launch soon, marks a significant milestone in MCM’s strategic evolution into a smart luxury brand, where the ‘M’ signifies Metaverse. This pioneering partnership underscores MCM’s position as a leader in luxury fashion, elevating the consumer experience and establishing a new standard for the industry.
